An update on City Sprouts (plus, new art!)
“Where there is love there is life” – Mahatma Gandhi
I’m taking a moment to be excited about the events of the past few days.
To celebrate the courage it takes to try new things and be vulnerable with our ideas. To shine a light on the beauty that can make an ordinary day a little more magical.
The weather is changing rapidly here and we saw snow for the first time recently. My cats and I spent a little while the other night leaning against the warm radiator and watching the snow fall outside the window.
The first few snows of the season are amazing. The world slows, quiets, and slips into a dreamy, muted state. Watching the snow is meditative for me, and creates a reason to pause and simply see. There are few times in life when it’s that easy to see the earth so completely transformed.
And goodness knows, I love transformations!
I also have some new art up in my Etsy shop, which has been a long time coming and has given me another reason to pause and think about how far I’ve come over the past few months.
The original Let It Go painting is now available, as is This Is Your Moment. Plus, You Are Loved now comes as a matted art print! I’m super excited about this new matted option in particular, as remembering love – both given and received – has been such an important piece of the puzzle lately. Check out the shop for more.
Also, as I mentioned last week, the opening for City Sprouts was over the weekend and some of my work had its debut in a physical shop. Woah! The shop is adorable – it was started by an architect who wanted to take her life in a very different direction (talk about inspiring!)
I feel proud to have my work connected to City Sprouts. I love their mission to provide sustainable services to local families and while I had a few first-shop-experience jitters to work through, it was so exciting to see people interacting with (and buying!) my art. LOVE!
I took a few pictures at the open house so that I would really pause and appreciate the day. Here I am:
It’s a cool old building, which makes for a unique space inside.
I didn’t get pictures of the other paintings due to the sun being intensely bright on Saturday and washing out all other attempts, but I’m happy to have this little representation and to know that my art is continuing to slowly make its way out into the world.
Today, I am remembering to keep my eyes open for the little transformations that are happening daily, and to feel love for this life that I am building. I’m seriously thankful for this moment to slow down and acknowledge this next little step.
Thank you as always for joining me on this journey!
Here’s to growth,
Keetha
Congratulations! Your artwork looks beautiful brightening up the space. :-)
