Thank you for being (plus: finished paintings, an upcoming sale, and more!)
“The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach” Seneca
I hope this week’s blog post brings you a little color and joy, especially this week when life has felt so very intense around the world.
Isaac and I were out walking in the neighborhood the other day when we discovered this sign:
LOVE! I’ve carried this message around with me since.
I like that there are no conditions that we need to meet. Instead, our very existence is enough of a blessing to celebrate.
I’m happy that gratitude can feel so simple. Thank you for being here and for touching the world with your presence.
Thank you for being. I thank me for being, too.
We’re all made better when we honor the light in one another.

One of the biggest updates from the past two weeks is that I finished the sticker paintings! YAY!
I’ve been so happy to look back on the last several months to see that my creative work continued despite the 24/7 schedule of raising a newborn. I often only painted 1-2 hours per week, camped out at my parents’ kitchen table with a travel bin of painting supplies, but I’ve been SO determined to finish this project.
Here are the final two paintings, months 10 and 12:
And here’s the full set of designs:
Aren’t they fun? The next step: turning them into stickers!
Isaac also passed the 5 month mark recently so we took his picture with the 5 month painting. Here he is:
This picture completely melts my heart, and I can’t wait to share the finished set with you when the stickers are done. Stay tuned!

Eric has been helping me update my shop photography this week – I’m so excited to be moving forward with a fresh look for my art. Here are a few examples:
I love working with these little props. We’re having fun creating scenes for each print.
Last but not least, stay tuned for my next newsletter on Nov. 23rd as I kick off the holiday season with a sale! Select paintings and prints will be on sale so make sure you’re on my newsletter list for first dibs.
With love,
Kevin
All I did was smile as I read your blog; thanks for an early morning lift!
