    There is a three dimensional quality to this painting, where I see multiple bamboo-like stalks tightly packed, but in front of each other too, with ‘hugging leaves’ on the very, very tall stalks. I imagine that if I walked in this ‘forest,’ I would have to squeeze past the stalks, but because the leaves are hugging, I wouldn’t knock any off. The distant early morning sun can’t get through the canopy easily, creating a “Moody Blue.” :)
