Hello holidays, hello new year, and hello friends. I hope you’ve had a wonderful season so far.

If the holidays are hard for you, I’m sending you my love. If the holidays are joyful, I’m sending you my love. If you’re like me, and the holidays are a mixed bag of good and hard, I’m sending you my love.

Above is attempt #1 at this year’s holiday photo. Looking at this little family of mine always makes me smile.

What makes me smile even more though is what happened next with attempts #2 and #3:

This week is pretty intense (we’re moving to a new house in a few days and still have so much to do), and these family photos have been my recent reminder to keep it light when possible (a little silly energy always makes things better), and to never let stress get in the way of a good laugh.

Thanks little kiddo, for always reminding me about what’s most important.

I hope you have a wonderful start to 2018. Smile when you can, give out big hugs when you can, and remember we’re all in this together. And as for me, I’ll add in: make new art! I just can’t wait to move into our new place so I can create and share new work with you.
